Blueprint

Intensity: Gentle

Consent First: Safewords, Limits, and Aftercare

10 items13 October 2026

  • Consequences

Safety groundwork for any dynamic. Safewords and limits written into your agreement, an aftercare list made before it is needed, and a monthly review of what should change.

Needs Premium: the punishment and the penalty points on the monthly review. Everything else works on the free plan.

For any couple, new or experienced, who wants the safety groundwork in writing first. Use it on its own or next to another Blueprint. In the first week, say the stop word aloud, swap limit lists, say what you need more and less of, and write down your aftercare. After the next intense evening, report how it landed, or say that none happened. After two weeks, read the limits again and change anything that no longer fits, then keep the monthly review. A late list costs points, and a skipped review means reading the limits aloud, kneeling. Either of you can add a limit or stop at any time, and it takes effect at once.

What is inside

Part 1: The agreement

  1. Agreement term

    Safewords

    • Yellow means slow down. Red is the stop word: it means stop completely.
    • A safeword is honored at once, every time, with no questions in the moment and nothing owed after it.
    • When speaking is hard, the agreed hand signal counts the same as a word.
    • Using a safeword is never punished.

    Safety & Boundaries

Note from Kneel Team: Agree the hand signal now, for the times when talking is not possible. Use your own words in place of yellow and red if you already have them.
  2. Agreement term

    Limits

    • Hard limits are absolute and never negotiable.
    • Soft limits are only approached after talking them through, one at a time.
    • Either partner can add or tighten a limit at any time, and it takes effect straight away.
    • Either partner can pause or stop the whole dynamic at any time.

    Safety & Boundaries

Note from Kneel Team: Limits change. Look at this term again at every monthly review.
  3. Agreement term

    Aftercare

    • After an intense scene, both partners get what they need to settle: water, warmth, food, quiet, or talk.
    • Aftercare needs are written down before a scene, not guessed after it.
    • A check-in the next day is part of aftercare, even when everything went well.

    Safety & Boundaries

Note from Kneel Team: Dominants need aftercare too. Write both lists.

Part 2: The first week

  1. Task

    Say the Stop Word Aloud

Send your stop word in writing, then say it out loud once today, so it is easy to reach when you need it. It ends anything at once, with nothing owed after it.

Due 1 day after you add itEarns 5 points

Note from Kneel Team: Day one, before anything else is due. Red is the stop word unless you agree another. Already have it from New to D/s? Leave it unticked.
  2. Task

    Send Your Limits in Writing

Write out your hard limits and your soft limits in your own words, one line each. Send the list before the due date. Nothing gets assigned on top of it until it is in writing.

Due 2 days after you add itEarns 10 pointsLoses 5 points if missed

Note from Kneel Team: The dominant writes a list too. Swap them, read both, then talk.
  3. Task

    Ask for What You Need

Send two lines: what you need more of, and what you need less of. Plain words, no hedging, no apology attached to either one.

Due 4 days after you add itEarns 10 pointsLoses 5 points if missed

Note from Kneel Team: Answer it the same week, even if the answer is not yet.
  4. Task

    Prepare Your Own Aftercare

Before the next scene, set out what you know you will need after: water, a blanket, something to eat, whatever settles you. Then send the list so it is on record.

Due 5 days after you add itEarns 10 pointsLoses 5 points if missed

Note from Kneel Team: Written once, then kept up to date as needs change.

Part 3: Review

  1. Task

    Report How It Landed

Within a day of the next intense evening, send an honest report: what landed well, what did not, and what you needed afterwards and did not get. If none happened this week, say so in one line.

Due 7 days after you add itEarns 10 pointsLoses 5 points if missed

Note from Kneel Team: Read it together, and change one thing if something did not land.
  2. Ritual

    Premium extras

    Monthly Written Review

Once a month, write an honest account of the dynamic: what is working, what has slipped, and what you want changed. Send it for review before the evening ends.

Monthly on day 1 at 19:00Earns 15 pointsLoses 10 points if missed

Note from Kneel Team: The set time to update limits and the agreement, once a month.

Part 4: Punishment

  1. Punishment

    Premium

    Read the Limits Aloud, Kneeling

Kneel on a bare floor and read both limit lists out loud, in full, twice. Then say back the stop word and the hand signal. Start again from the top after any mistake.

    Timer15 min

Note from Kneel Team: For a late list or a skipped review. Never for a safeword: using one is never punished.
