Protocol and Discipline: Rules That Are Kept

12 items13 October 2026

  • Consequences

Strict structure for couples who want rules that are kept and misses that are answered. Daily inspection with the rules recited, a timed midday check-in, a nightly rules report, kneeling on a bare floor, a full day of protocol each week, and four punishments that each end at a set time.

Needs Premium: the four punishments, the penalty points on the two daily rituals, and the set time on the midday check-in. Everything else works on the free plan, with the check-in as one daily check-in at any time of day.

For couples who want strict rules and a set answer to every miss. In the first week, read both terms together, write the rules down, and start the daily pattern: inspection every morning with the rules recited, a midday check-in, and a nightly report. Kneel twice a week, write the rules from memory on Sunday, and give one full day of protocol each week, where one lapse means the day is repeated. After two weeks, look at which rules break most often, and rewrite or drop them before adding more. Safewords and limits stand above every rule, and using one is never punished.

What is inside

Part 1: The terms

  1. Agreement term

    Rules and Standards

    • Rules are written down. A rule that is not written down is not enforced.
    • New rules are explained before they start.
    • Tasks are done to the standard that was set, not the easiest version of it.
    • Every rule kept or broken is reported honestly, including the ones that are easy to leave out.

    Protocols

Note from Kneel Team: Start with a few rules. Add more once those hold.
  2. Agreement term

    When a Rule Is Broken

    • A miss is acknowledged, answered, and then released. It is not brought up again.
    • Every punishment ends at a stated time.
    • No punishment takes away sleep, a meal, work, money, or contact with other people.
    • Nothing is decided in anger. If either partner is upset, it waits until the next day.
    • Safewords and hard limits stand above every rule and every punishment.

    Protocols

Note from Kneel Team: Read this together before the first punishment, not after it.

Part 2: Every day

  1. Ritual

    Premium extras

    Daily Inspection

Every morning, present yourself for inspection before the day starts: dressed to standard, rules recited, today's tasks listed. Photo if you are apart. Anything short of standard is corrected before you leave.

Daily at 07:30Earns 15 pointsLoses 10 points if missed

Note from Kneel Team: Every morning, weekends included. When you are apart, the photo is the inspection.
  2. Check-in

    Midday check-in

Daily by 13:00Earns 5 pointsLoses 5 points if missed

Note from Kneel Team: With Premium, 13:00 is a hard deadline and a late check-in counts as missed. On the free plan it comes in as one daily check-in at any time of day.
  3. Ritual

    Premium extras

    Nightly Rules Report

List the rules you kept today and the ones you broke. Just the list, no excuses attached to it. Short and honest beats long and polished.

Daily at 22:00Earns 10 pointsLoses 10 points if missed

Note from Kneel Team: Answer each broken rule within a day so nothing piles up.

Part 3: Every week

  1. Task

    Write the Rules From Memory

Write all your rules from memory, in order, with nothing to copy from. Photograph the page and send it. If you miss one, write them all again from the first rule.

Weekly on Sun at 18:00Earns 15 pointsLoses 10 points if missed

Note from Kneel Team: Sunday evening, before the week starts.
  2. Task

    Kneel and Wait

At the set time, take position on a bare floor for twenty minutes on a timer: eyes down, hands behind your back. No phone, no music, no getting up early. Report when the time is up.

2× per weekEarns 20 pointsLoses 10 points if missed

Note from Kneel Team: Twice a week, at a time you are given.
  3. Task

    A Full Day of Protocol

For one full day, follow every protocol you have been given without a single lapse: the address, the asking, the waiting for an answer. Log each time you asked permission and what it was for, and send the log before bed. One lapse and the day is repeated tomorrow.

1× per weekEarns 25 pointsLoses 15 points if missed

Note from Kneel Team: Once a week, on a day you are told the night before.

Part 4: Punishments

  1. Punishment

    Premium

    Fifty Lines

Write the assigned line fifty times by hand in one sitting, numbered down the page, then photograph the finished page. Skipped numbers, shortcuts, and copied blocks mean the page is written again.

  2. Punishment

    Premium

    Twenty Minutes in the Corner

Stand facing the corner for twenty minutes with nothing to occupy the mind: no phone, no music, no conversation. Hands at the sides, no leaning, no shifting.

Note from Kneel Team: For a careless miss.
  3. Punishment

    Premium

  4. Punishment

    Premium
